Ecommerce SEO Case Study #1

Objective

A well established ecommerce company (over 20 years old) approached Arcane Marketing because their traffic and sales had grown stagnant over a 16 month period of time. They felt like they had hit a wall and no matter what they did or who they had help, they couldn’t seem to gain any growth. The primary objective was to get additional traffic to the website and help to increase website sales revenue.

Process

Even after this ecommerce company had used several other digital marketing agencies over the last couple of years, they felt like they had hit a wall. Nothing they did seemed to be helping.

An audit of this website (with over 500+ product skus) showed that there was a serious lack of content, internal links, among several other on-page updates that needed to be made.

What you see in the images is results after only 7 months of SEO. Arcane Marketing focused on updating all of the on-page factors (title tags, meta descriptions, additional content and blogging, internal links, and the addition of many new images). Once those were completed, improving the product categories and descriptions helped their visitors to know how to best use their products along with other associated products to consider. Additional product images (and image optimization) helped visitors to see the end result of using their products. Keep in mind these were further technical SEO details improved upon by Arcane Marketing after several agencies had failed to complete these tasks properly.

While we are showing this ecommerce SEO case study, these results are NOT atypical of a common ecommerce client who works with Arcane Marketing.
